These terms govern your use of SudoStage at sudostage.link, a service that lets artists publish a press kit and link page. SudoStage is operated by SUDO Media, a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom (“SUDO Media”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Full business details are in our Privacy Policy.
SUDO Media 4 Westmorland Drive Bognor Regis PO22 8LX United Kingdom
Email: contact@sudomedia.uk
By creating an account you agree to these terms and confirm you have read our Privacy Policy. If you only visit or download from artist pages, sections 6 to 9 and 13 to 19 apply to you. If you don’t agree, please don’t use SudoStage.
2. Who can use SudoStage
Age: you must be 18 or over to create an account.
Authority: you must be the artist, or authorised by the artist (for example as their manager, agent or label), to create and manage their page. If you act for someone else, you accept these terms for both of you.
Accurate details: the information you give us must be accurate. You may not create a page that impersonates another artist or person.
3. Your account
You must confirm your email address, using the link we send you, before you can publish your page or upload files. Keep your account email up to date, because we use it for security notices.
Keep your password secret and unique to SudoStage. We strongly recommend turning on two-factor authentication.
You’re responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away at contact@sudomedia.uk if you think someone else has accessed it.
Your page address (sudostage.link/yourname) is provided for use with your page. It doesn’t give you ownership of the name. We may reclaim or change an address that impersonates someone, infringes rights or misleads people.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you add: text, photos, logos, documents and links (“your content”).
So that we can run SudoStage, you give SUDO Media a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize, format, display and make your content available. This includes letting visitors view it, and download it individually or as a press-kit zip, once you publish it. The licence lasts while your content is on SudoStage. It ends when you remove it or delete your account, except for:
short-lived caches and backups, as described in the Privacy Policy
copies visitors have already downloaded
We won’t use your content to advertise SUDO Media or SudoStage, or show your page as an example, without asking you first.
Drafts and unpublished files are private to you. Authorised SUDO Media staff may view them only to provide support, investigate reports or keep the service secure and lawful.
5. Your promises
For all content you add, you promise that:
you own it, or have all the permissions, licences and credits needed to publish it and to let visitors download it for the uses in section 7, including from photographers, designers and record labels
anyone identifiable in your photos has agreed to appear
you have permission to publish any other person’s contact details you add, such as your agent, manager or press contact, and you’ve told them it will be public
it is accurate, isn’t misleading, and doesn’t break any law or anyone’s rights
6. Acceptable use
You must not use SudoStage, or allow anyone else to use it, to:
publish anything unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit or violent, or that promotes illegal activity
infringe copyright, trade marks, privacy or any other right, including uploading music, artwork or photos you don’t have permission to use
impersonate an artist, person or organisation, or misrepresent your connection to them
link to malware, phishing, scams, or misleading or harmful websites
send spam, or collect other people’s contact details from SudoStage for unsolicited messages
upload files for purposes other than your press kit, or use SudoStage as general file storage or file sharing
try to break, overload, scrape, probe or get around our security, rate limits, storage limits or bot checks; access accounts or data that aren’t yours; or use automated tools to create accounts
copy, resell or reverse-engineer the SudoStage service, design or software
7. Visitors and downloads
Artists publish their press kits so promoters, venues, press and fans can feature and book them. If you download materials from an artist’s page, you may use them only to promote, report on, book or feature that artist (for example on posters, event listings, articles and social posts). You must:
credit photographers where a credit is given
not alter logos or photos in a misleading way
not use them to suggest the artist endorses anything they haven’t agreed to
All other rights stay with the artist and other rights holders. Contact details on artist pages are for booking and press enquiries only, not marketing.
8. Reporting, moderation and complaints
SudoStage hosts content that artists publish for others to see. We are committed to dealing with illegal and harmful content quickly and fairly, including under the Online Safety Act 2023.
How to report
Anyone can report a page, with or without an account, using Report this page at the bottom of every artist page or our report form. You can also email contact@sudomedia.uk. Tell us:
the page address
what the problem is and where it is on the page
why it should be removed (for copyright, what work you own and how it’s being infringed)
how to contact you (required for copyright, impersonation and privacy reports)
for rights claims, confirmation that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them
If anyone is in immediate danger, call 999. Please also report child sexual abuse imagery to the Internet Watch Foundation at report.iwf.org.uk.
What happens next
Who reviews it: a person at SUDO Media reviews every report. We don’t use automated or proactive content-scanning technology to make moderation decisions.
How fast: we aim to review reports within 48 hours. We take down illegal content as quickly as possible once we know about it, and may suspend a page straight away while we investigate.
Serious cases: we report child sexual exploitation and abuse to the National Crime Agency and other authorities as the law requires, and may share information with the police or other authorities about other serious illegal content.
Telling the artist: when we remove content or suspend a page, we tell the artist what we did and why, unless the law or a risk of harm prevents it. We don’t tell the artist who made the report unless they agree or the law requires it.
Repeat infringers: we close the accounts of people who repeatedly break these terms or infringe others’ rights.
Records: we keep a record of reports and our decisions.
you are an artist and think we removed your content or suspended your page wrongly
you reported something and are unhappy with how we handled it
you want to complain about SudoStage’s safety measures or how we apply these terms
A person who wasn’t involved in the original decision, where possible, will review your complaint. We aim to reply within 14 days. If we find we made a mistake, we will restore your content or page. Using this process doesn’t affect any other legal rights you have.
9. Our platform
SUDO Media owns the SudoStage service, including its design, layouts, software and brand. Artists control the content of their pages; SudoStage controls the layout and design so every page stays consistent and professional. These terms don’t give you any rights in our brand or software, except to use the service as intended.
10. Fees
SudoStage is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell account holders in advance. You won’t be charged unless you agree to a paid plan and its terms.
11. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep SudoStage available and secure, but we can’t promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
We may change, add or remove features, and set or change reasonable limits (such as storage or upload limits). Where a change significantly affects you, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
Please keep your own copies of your content. Download my data in the studio gives you a full copy at any time.
12. Suspension and ending
You can take your page offline or delete your account at any time from the studio.
We may remove content, suspend your page or close your account if:
you break these terms
we must do so by law or court order
it is needed to protect users, the public or SudoStage
we stop providing SudoStage, in which case we will give at least 30 days’ notice where we can, so you can download your data
Where reasonable we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond, unless that would be unlawful or create a risk of harm.
Sections 4 (cached and downloaded copies), 5, 7, 13, 14, 18 and 19 continue after your account ends.
13. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
death or personal injury caused by our negligence
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
anything else that can’t be limited or excluded by law
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.
Subject to that:
SudoStage is provided free of charge and “as available”.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or that result from your content, your breach of these terms, third-party services, or events outside our reasonable control.
If you use SudoStage for business purposes, which includes promoting your music career or acting for artists, we are not liable to you for loss of profits, income, bookings, business, opportunity or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
Our total liability to you for all claims connected with SudoStage is limited to the greater of £100 and the total you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
14. Business users
If you use SudoStage in the course of a business, including as an artist promoting your work or a manager, agent or label acting for artists, you agree to compensate SUDO Media for reasonable losses, damages and costs (including legal fees) caused by any claim that your content, or your use of SudoStage, breaches these terms or infringes someone’s rights. This applies to the extent permitted by law.
15. Third-party services
Artist pages may link to, or let you load players from, other services (such as SoundCloud, Spotify, YouTube or ticket sellers). Those services are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies. We aren’t responsible for them.
16. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, including your rights and how we use cookies.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect new features, legal requirements or paid plans. The version and effective date at the top will change. If the changes are significant, we will ask account holders to accept the new version in the studio before they continue editing. If you don’t accept, you may delete your account.
18. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
Before starting any legal claim, please contact us at contact@sudomedia.uk so we can try to resolve the issue.
19. General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about SudoStage.
If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, for example if SudoStage is sold. We will tell you, and your rights won’t be reduced. You may not transfer your account without our written agreement.
Nobody else has any rights under these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
